Art Blakey - Orgy In Rhythm. Blue Note BLP 1554, 1964

£125.00
sold out

Killer title 1964 mono pressing glossy cover deep groove on one side with Plastylite ‘ear’. The ear is important for this title as it distinguishes it from the later New York label Liberty pressing. Also present is the very important 9M etching in the matrix, which means it was pressed with the original metal. Therefore you get a record as close the first pressing at a lower cost. Sounds good to us! VG cover some corner wear and small pen on rear and a stamp. Clean disc side 2 is VG+, side 1 is VG some tiny light marks and teeny sounds but plays great as there is lots of wide open space in the music at times, so you really benefit from a decent copy! Could use a pro cleaning perhaps. US issue.
