The Third Wave arranged and conducted by George Duke - Here And Now. MPS 14 263 ST, 1970

£120.00
sold out

The Third Wave were a singing group of five sisters discovered by George Duke who produces and arranges this record and they also played live with his trio! A killer version of “Maiden Voyage” and “Cantaloupe Island” are the highlights, plus some jazzy and pop tracks of the day but all with some appeal in the performance. Another one for the Rare Silk fans and a rare title, their only lp, and very nice music to listen to. Not super deep, but a fun quirky one with some dancefloor jazz classics. First pressing MPS. VG/VG+ cover basic wear and ageing. VG+ disc plays EX! German original.
